Late to work

Oh no. With my care factor fairly close to zero, I'm not too worried about it.

Actually, I had my exam at Unitec for my Digital Communication Applications course that I've been doing at summer school.

So the exam went well and I went to catch a bus to work. The bus driver of the 043 that came told me that I should get on the next bus because that route would only be 2 stages and his route would charge me 3. So with 1 minute to spare, I ran to catch the 10:59am train. If you can do math, you will already realise that it was 10:58am when I left the bus stop.

But the train did not come at 10:59am. Instead at 11:07am there was an announcement come over the loudspeaker that trains were delayed by between 7 and 12 minutes. So I had a maximum of 4 more minutes to wait:

10:59am + 12 minutes maximum wait = 11:11am
11:11am - 11:07am current time = 4 minutes!

So what's the point of all this maths? There isn't one. I was late to work, that's the point.

Anyway to make me even later, I saw Genevieve at Britomart and talked to her about Kiwiburn and how she'd overheard Bex (1) and Red talking about Bex (2) at Roasted Addiction.

Then I went into Starbucks and saw Bex (1) and talked to her about how the flat was going, I didn't mention her conversation with Red that had now found its way through the Auckland gossip circle. I wonder if I should have?

I got an Iced Tall Americano and walked to work. The receptionist today is hotter than the one that I unsuccessfully hit on last year. With only 1 week to go before I leave Datacom, I'm wondering if I should hit on the new one?

Anyway, I'm at work now, feeling a touch guilty for being late. Then a thought occurs to me, maybe I had the excellent organisational skills and foresight to have arranged to have the day off to do my exam? I go through my emails and find the following:

Car parking

Yesterday, I drove the Nissan Pulsar that mum and I own to work and parked it at the company carpark at the Rendevouz Hotel. I don't normally drive to work so I gave my carpark card to Neha who works at YouthLaw and drives her Toyota Prius to work everyday. So we had two cars in the carpark and probably shouldn't have. But they were both in Datacom leased parks, so I could see no problem with it. Anyway, when I let mum's car out, the card worked fine. But it wouldn't let the second car out, fair enough. When I explained the situation to the concierge, he got on a huge power trip and tried to force me to pay $25 for the lost card. We had a big argument down by the exit until he finally gave up and let us out, along with "blacklisting" my card. What a dick!

Nana

I'm worried about Nana. She got all upset about my cousin Emilie, Paris, Chloe and I going to Kelly Tarltons without her. Maybe fair enough, but it was in November and she is only getting upset about it now!

Also money is getting to her, the $780 insurance bill was automatically deducted from her account leaving her in overdraft. I just transferred to her my $120 share, so hopefully that will cheer her up a bit. I wanted to call her but I think shes left the phone off the hook, or maybe shes on the Internet again.
